![]() Erie, Pa (September 6, 2012) –Kanzius Cancer Research Foundation (KCRF) announces keynote speaker, Glenn Beck, and additional updates for its first national conference, faces2012 (www.faces2012.org), which will be taking place October 26-28, 2012 at the Ambassador Conference Center in Erie, Pa. faces2012 is a celebration of the progress achieved by the foundation since 2008. A diverse mix of faces will join together in Erie, where it all started, to share knowledge, expertise, and passion to ignite a renewed dedication to John Kanzius’ dream of “a better way” to treat cancer. The conference will feature keynote speaker Glenn Beck, nationally syndicated television/radio host, media personality, author, entrepreneur, political commentator and very generous Kanzius Foundation donor and advocate during the luncheon titled “Keeping an American Dream Alive” on Saturday, October 27th at 12:00 p.m. The luncheon will highlight the dream of one man, John Kanzius, his community that believed and the responsibility of every American to keep it alive. Entertainment will be provided during this session by the award-winning Young People’s Chorus of Erie and the national anthem sung by the local NBC affiliate, WICU-12’s, evening anchorwoman, Amanda Post. Single tickets for the luncheon are $100 each and can be purchased online at www.faces2012.org. Additional featured guest speakers include lead Kanzius researchers Dr. Steven Curley of MD Anderson Cancer Center, Dr. Hong Koo Kim of University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, and Dr. Dustin Kruse of University of California-Davis. Each will be introduced Friday, October 26th at 8:00 p.m. during the opening night welcome reception. Immediately following will be a private movie showing of “The Bucket List” to encourage networking and bring conference attendees together. Other breakout sessions regarding current research issues, awareness, and fundraising will also take place throughout the day Saturday. Workshops will include “Research Updates” hosted by Dr. Hong Koo Kim and Dr. Dustin Kruse, “Personal Fundraising Pages” will discuss how to create your very own Kanzius fundraising web page, “Clinical Trials 101: What are They and How Do They Work?” and more. Saturday will end with “Passport to Erie – The City Where It All Began,” an indoor street celebration featuring the best of Erie’s neighborhoods designed to bring the people of Erie together with conference participants from near and far. By gathering in one place, at one time, faces2012 will offer all those who are fighting for “a better way” to treat cancer a unique opportunity to learn the essential basics of the Kanzius Noninvasive Radiowave Cancer Treatment and unite for a better way.
